I’m Valerie. I’m a social media marketing creative from Guam, currently living in Jersey City and working as a Social Media Manager at Spot and Tango. After earning my BFA in Film + Television and a minor in Business of Entertainment, Media, and Technology from NYU, I’ve spent the past 4+ years crafting scroll-stopping content that connects brands with their audiences in the fast-paced, ever-changing world of social media.

Amongst the many things that fascinate me, one common thread is stories. Whether it’s a movie I caught on an AMC Tuesday, a juicy FaceTime call with my best friend, or a stranger on a plane sharing every detail of their vacation, I’m always mentally bookmarking the good ones (…or logging them on Letterboxd). I love how stories unfold, how little details make them memorable, how the most beautiful lines of dialogue stick with you, and most of all, how they bring people together.

Building a strong presence on social isn’t so different. It’s about shaping honest brand moments into content that feels human, relatable, and at the same time, a little out of the ordinary - using a good story to bridge the gap between the brand and its audience! Whether I’m campaign building, creating content, or fostering community across Instagram, TikTok, and beyond, at the center of it all is a story.
